Urgent Prayer *Updated*

Please, if you're reading this...pray for my son! He (Elijah) was just rushed to the ER again. I am so worried!!! We went to check on him after we put him to bed and noticed he was really laboring to breath. When touched he was hotter than I've ever felt on a child. His rectal temp was 104.5 so take a degree off and you get 103.5. Hot, but....not as hot as I was thinking. Just please pray that my baby is okay...I hate that I'm not there with him right now. I gave him some Motrin and 2 puffs of his inhalor and well...that's all I can do, besides pray.

I will update as I learn more.

Elijah is home and doing okay. He still has a fever of 102. and I'm just to keep an eye on him today and see how he does. As I type he's playing with toys, so I am confident that whatever ails my youngest will pass soon. Thank you all for your love, prayers, and support. No one likes to see their kids sick, nor visiting the ER with a temp of 104.9!

The doc took a bunch of tests and an x-ray and pretty much said they're not sure what's wrong with him, but as long as they get the fever down to 102. then he should be okay unless he starts to develop other symptoms. I'm not entirely satisfied with the diagnosis, so I'll be watching him closely....and praying that he and Gabe recover quickly (Gabe has been battling a cold the last few days as well) so that we can fly comfortably on Monday morning.

Again, thank you all for your prayers and support and I hope I didn't scare or worry you too much. I think just the way he looked and felt last night, coupled with the very high fever really scared me :(

Oh, that sounds familiar. My youngest was in the hospital at 1 month because of a high fever. Turns out she had kidney reflux and had developed a UTI. If your doctor hasn't checked him, you might suggest that.

Hugs,
