What a way to spend a Sunday afternoon! I skipped church today...Justin and I both. While it sounds terrible....okay well maybe it is terrible! I have been so wiped from finals and this semester has been incredibly tiring. I'm just glad it's over. So instead of trying to get up and get ready this morning, I decided not to, and instead of getting up with the baby this morning, Justin did. I'd like to make a statement to the blog world: "I am in love with the most amazing guy to ever walk this earth." I got to sleep in!!! That makes what-the fifth time in the last five months or so??? But I certainly can't complain. I have a beautiful, darling boy to show for it and I am so ready for another...but Justin says this too will have to wait. At least until Gabe is about a year old, and I suppose I am okay with that! Speaking of baby, mine sounds like he's waking up soon. We got this really great book from Dave Klobb called Baby Wise, and I recommend it to all parents. This book has saved our sanity and pretty much Gabe's life! Our baby has slept through the night since he was five weeks old (I only have the Lord to thank for that), and because of this book he has been on a great schedule and he has turned out to be an incredibly happy, content, and dare I say tons-of-fun baby! Duty calls...

Sorry, but I'd have to challenge you on the whole best man alive thing....I think mine is cooler!! I'm not biased or anything....:) Dane got up with Jadon yesterday morning (I hadn't slept the whole night due to biological "challenges"), and he got him to sleep for a nap, got him diapered and everything...and I slept until NOON! I had forgotten what that felt like! What degrees are you graduating with? And how have you two been going to school with a baby? Was Gabe born in Canada? Where at?
Well...we're all biased to some extent :) I'm totally with you on the sleep thing!! Well, Justin is graduating with a pastoral major church planting minor, and I am graduating with a church planting major. Going to school with a baby has been hard!! He was five weeks when we got here, and no(thankfully) he was not born in Canada...he was born in Maine :)But we did it!!! Did you go anywhere after Bethany??
I did nursing in my hometown for a year, but moved to Detroit after our wedding (Dane got a job there after he graduated), and I got pregnant 4 months after we got married, so I never really continued, which was fine, because I felt like God was calling me out of schooling to be a stay-at-home mom...a homemaker. I think I was just at Bethany so I could become saved!
Do you have instant messeger? I thought you added me to your list...
I want to let you know that it's not horrible at all to skip church!!! Sometimes you just need to, and God would be better honored if you stayed home and rested, and thanked him for the rest, than dutifully dragging your tired family off to church....once again. I do believe that we should not neglect the gathering of believers, but like I said, sometimes when you go to church you're not giving God your best because you're so tired. So, stay home!!!! REST!!!!! Honor God by sleeping and refreshing your tired body.
I will miss you guys, and your baby. Thanks for trusting me with your little one, and letting me learn some things along with you. I'll keep that book in mind when our babies come along. You have a lovely family!
About the whole hit counter thing, what you do is you go to help and look it up in there and it will tell you how to get to the sites and how to do it and all of that. It didn't take me long.
Glad to see you guys are blogging and now I can add you to my list of connections! Keep posting and I will keep reading
Hey, the hit counter thing...just click on my counter on our site...it will take you straight to it. It's pretty easy. You'll just cut & paste the info they give you in your template wherever you want the counter (usually listed in the sidebar). Anyway, I do have instant messenger, but no internet at our house. I mainly use aol IM...same userID...kaylajoy75...I am rarely on IM, though, if ever. I check email and our website mostly. I should check my MSN messenger and see if I actually did add you or not...anywhoo...
