Look at my poor baby's nose, eye, and well.....pretty much the entire middle of his face! He had a spill down the bottom few stairs yesterday (ironically as daddy was putting the safety gate back up). He is such a trooper....and ADORABLE to boot! I felt so bad!! And today the nasty bruise is starting to show its true colors :( You can see the bruising under his nose and in between his eyebrows as well. I had no idea how much he was hurt until I saw the severe bruising later on. But I'm pleased to report that this booboo hasn't dampened this boys bright spirit! He has captured my heart in so many ways, and I'm sure he'll capture yours...even WITH a bruised up face!

Poor baby. It's awful when our babies are hurting!! We've been through the same scenerio at our house....so scary!!! We now have 4 baby gates ( I am obsessed!) - 2 staircases, one at the top and bottom of each.
Glad he's still running around like himself though - that helps us know they are feeling okay!
AW! HOW SAD!
Last October, when Dane and I were returning from a friend's wedding (we had been gone ALL DAY and left Jadon with my parents), Jadon nearly wet his pants because he was so excited to see us (on second thought, I think he DID wet them), and he started running around, and I was chasing him....I chased him right into a door frame :( :( He had the bruise and goose egg on the middle of his forehead for MONTHS. It was horrible:( At least Gabe's fall wasn't your fault...:) Poor boy....there'll be many more bruises to come, though!! He's a boy! Jadon ran into the corner of our couch on MAY 22, and STILL has the bruise on his head! This time it wasn't my fault, though...and he didn't cry NEARLY as hard! :)
Krisi, I too am obsessed with gates!! Can't get enough of 'em if you ask me!!
And Kayla...I have a confession to make....yesterday I was tossing a small ball back and forth with Gabe and totally chucked it right into his nose!! He looked at me like....well...it was a look I wouldn't like to see too often, before bursting into tears :( I felt so bad! I do stuff like that a lot! :( I'm SO accident prone all by myself, and I wonder if somehow motherhood doesn't somewhat intensify it. Anywho...you're right...he's a boy and there will be many more bruises to come (just hopefully not from mommy :()
Jess- I sent you a rambling email about my midwife..
Got it, love it...reply coming soon :)
AW, poor baby! Look at his little face... that is one thing I really like about little boys... They can walk things like that off... a little girl would still be crying about it 3 weeks later :) He is so cute Jes!
so when do you go for your 18 wk scan? I can't wait to hear how it goes
My ultrasound is at 20 weeks...so about a week left to go!!
