Yay for questions!!! Matthew writes, "I would like to know if it is better to shower at night, in the morning, or not at all. Are we North Americans better than everybody else because we (in general) shower more often, or is that fact evidence of some flaw?" Good question, and one that I'm sure everyone is dying to know. In regards to showering in the morning, evening or not at all, I would have to say it depends on the hair (and the person). Personally, I HAVE to shower in the morning. My hair will look really weird, flat, and shaped in ways that I would not otherwise have shaped it. Some people however, (and I secretly despise these people) can shower at night and have their hair look like they just stepped out of the beauty salon. You people make me sick :) And as far as North Americans being "better" than other countires...I would have to say (and I think others would agree) that North America has a lot to learn in the area of over-indulgence, selfeshness, patience, and respect. We are a great nation. Maybe too great. Maybe like Babylon we too will fall; caught up in ourselves. Alright, enough of the dooms-day message...but just because most of us shower more than those in third world countries, makes us no better or worse than them. Just priviledged. And shame on us for taking a simple shower for granted. And here's an interesting tidbit of information my readers may or may not know: back in the day (a looooong time ago, probably begining during the cave-man days) people in North America used to NOT shower as much as possible due to the fear of catching what we now so glibly say as "your death of cold." Imagine that. So....as they say, "we've come a long way, baby!" And perhaps the old adage, "Cleanliness is next to godliness" will remain just that. After all, shower or not, we're still all part of the family of God. Privledged and clean, I thank the Lord for that, and offer up a prayer for those who aren't.

In response to Matt's question, Dena writes, "We (N. Americans) do not necessarily shower more often than everyone else. Many Peruvians, or other Latins, shower twice a day, once before work and once after. This, of course is not true for all Latins of all classes, but is not uncommon. Just thought I'd let you know." Thank you Dena for your comment!
And Maria writes, "What do you and your hubby do for fun without the kids?" Uh...let me get back to you on that. Fun? Two kids?? Time??? Just kidding :) Actually we are both really big game players...old board game players that is. There's nothing like a good game of Monopoly, Risk, Stratego, or even my fav card game: Skip-bo. And once in a blue moon we hit a really nice restaraunt for a cozy dinner for two. Thanks for the questions, guys!! Brew some more for next week!

Ooohhhh.....I remembered my question. Maybe you can tackle this one for next week- or sooner. Here's the dealio.
While quickly running into the grocery store to grab some chicken I picked up a package where the seal had been punctured. My still gloved hand went straight into the raw chicken!!
What is the best way to clean a leather glove that has touched raw chicken? Do I need be worried? Does salmonella penetrate the pores of leather?
Please help - it's still winter here in Canada and my hands are getting cold!!
